The Weird Wildlife Encounters in my Neighborhood

Some weird stuff has been going on in my neighborhood recently. So, I decided to share it with you. Keep in mind that I live in the middle of the city. Here goes:

Thursday Sep. 13th 2012-
Today, I found myself up late into the night studying for a math test on my porch. However, I hear something in the distance. I halt my studying and listen. It is clearly the whinny call of a eastern screech-owl. This is one bird I had no idea was in the area. Well it pays to be outside at weird times.

Friday Sep. 14th 2012-
This morning on my way to school, I looked up and saw a large water bird flying overhead. I am still not sure what it was but it was either a tundra swan or a Canada goose. Either one is rare in my urban neighborhood.

Saturday Sep. 15th 2012-
This morning I was woken up at 5:27 A.M. to the sound of two red foxes fighting outside. While I didn’t go out to see them I could hear the screaming and caterwauling quite well.

So there you have it, the weird wildlife encounters I have been having. I hope you enjoyed and I leave with with my photo of a great egret.
