Bird Walk at Moraine State Park and Rarities.

This morning I went on a bird walk to scenic Moraine State Park on the shores of Lake Arthur. I was with the birding club I am a member of. It was great with highlights including a northern shrike, eastern pheobe, and various other species.

After that, I went to go try to find a snowy owl that had been reported in the area. It turns out that it was just peacefully sitting on top of a house. It provided very nice views, however, my camera had just died while taking photos at Moraine!! Oh the humanity! It was still very cool to see it when the weather is 70 degrees.

After that I went to our farm and walked there. It was pretty basic birding with the only highlight being a white-crowned sparrow.

All together it was a very bird filled day.
